Automatic Cutting System for Awning Fabrics
Application:
Cost effective production of awning covers starts with precisely cut fabric panels arranged in correct order and orientation for subsequent assembly steps. Interface to your order processing system eliminates costly cutting errors.
Also provides general purpose off-the-roll cutting of awning, sunshade, and similar technical textiles.
Concept:
Automatic calculation of fabric lengths and width according to dimensions of finished awning cover and fabric roll width as measured by machine laser. Automatic positioning and activation of longitudinal ultrasonic cutter as required to cut side panels.
Fabric is pulled off the roll onto the table by a servo controlled pull-off carriage with simultaneous ultrasonic slitting to required width and Ultrasonic cross cut at required length.
Fabric re-winder rolls fabric longitudinally to minimize handling at subsequent panel joining operations.
Modular design concept adaptable to customer requirements.

•  Maximum pull-off length up to 8000 mm (longer lengths also available)

•  Automatic re-winder for cut awning lengths
•  Transfer unit for the cut fabric reels to assembly station
•  Connection to local computer network for data transmission
•  Second ultrasonic cutter for simultaneous cutting of both side panels from one fabric width
